Codebase is one person.

Hello, I’m Sylvain Briat. Nice to meet you!

A studio at human scale — mine. Leveraged by AI, I carry a product from idea to production, where it used to take a whole team only months ago.

01 — End-to-end builder

One person, the whole chain.

My real strength isn’t a point-in-time technical skill: it’s experience, and the ability to understand your business. AI provides the execution reach; the judgement stays mine — that’s the constant.

  1. 01

    Understand the business

Grasp the context and the real problem, before any solution.

  2. 02

    Find solutions

Explore the options, keep the simplest one that holds.

  3. 03

    Architect

Derive a simple functional and technical architecture.

  4. 04

    Build & harness the AI

Build while piloting the AI: it accelerates, I decide.

  5. 05

    Ship to production

Deploy and run it — not just hand over code.

  6. 06

    Explain without jargon

Make every choice clear, and the product resumable.

02 — Why solo

A choice, not a shortcoming.

I love carrying a product from idea to production: doing the UI/UX as much as the devops, holding the thread from start to finish. Working solo isn’t working against teams or specialists — their craft is valuable, and I lean on them when a project calls for it. It’s simply how I like to build: end to end, from the first sketch to going live, rather than confining myself to a single link.

03 — One person, no black box

One person, no single point of failure.

Working with a single person raises a fair question: what if they’re no longer around? The answer is in the method. Every change is specified and documented — the spec is the durable asset. The product never depends on me alone: any team can pick it up. No black box, no forced dependency.

04 — Who it’s for

Built for human-scale structures.

My ground is small businesses, SMEs and young startups served directly, with custom products, made accessible, shipped fast. Very large projects I don’t take on directly, and that’s owned — better to excel on the right scope than to promise everything. For larger structures such as agencies, dev shops or recruiters, I work as a subcontractor, a full-stack provider leaning on their framework to deliver.

Tell me where you’re at: I come back with an honest read — often in a single conversation.
